To Forge a Nation reads like a combined effort of Ken Follett and Louis L’Amour. Seeing historical events through the eyes of Amos Nordquist’s heart firmly places the reader in the historical moment, often with a spiritual perspective. In reading through the novel, Pastor Nordquist becomes a cherished friend and the pastor we all wish we had.
